Crazysocks4docs Day

The first Friday of June is annual Crazysocks4docs day.

The Crazysocks4docs Trust Foundation was established by Dr Geoff Toogood in 2017 to raise awareness about mental health issues faced by doctors and healthcare workers and to help remove the sigma associated with these.

The importance of raising awareness about mental health issues in the healthcare industry cannot be overstated, particularly after the unprecedented changes and demands brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

To participate in Crazysocks4docs day you simply need to wear your craziest pair of socks on the first Friday in June, take a photo and share it to social media with the hashtag #crazysocks4docs.

Out team participated, wearing our crazy socks in theatre, in the office and on our days off, to help start conversations around healthcare workers’ mental health.
