From the 1st of July 2021 there will be significant changes to the MBS item numbers for orthopaedic surgery as a result of the MBS Review Taskforce recommendations.
These changes affect item numbers for a number of surgeries frequently performed by Mr Jeffcote, including some joint replacements, knee arthroscopies, knee and ankle ligament reconstructions and gluteal tendon repairs.
We do not anticipate that these changes will cause any problems for our patients booked for surgery after July 1st. Any out of pocket expense quoted by our clinic prior to July 1st, for a surgery that’s item number has subsequently changed, will stay the same.
